This procedure is used in case of importing non-EU goods into the customs territory of the European Union. Conducting the procedure grants the non-EU goods a status of EU goods, allowing them to be distributed within the territory of the European Union. However, it is necessary to pay legally required fees, namely customs duties and VAT tax.
The application is processed electronically by the AIS/IMPORT system (Automated Import System)
The following documents are required for conducting the marketing authorisation procedure:
CMR,
– invoice which states the value of the declared goods or other document, allowing the customs value to be determined in case the invoice does not fulfil that function,
– other documents required due to the specifics of the imported goods, e.g. CE certification, quality certification, certificates of origin and others.

SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURE
The simplified procedure provides facilitation in activities involving customs procedures. The customs clearance process becomes simpler, resulting in time savings for the importer/exporter, which in turn reduces costs of downtime. Furthermore, the use of the simplified procedure provides the possibility of customs clearance without the need for the goods to physically arrive at a customs office. Customs clearance is handled at an approved location, which can be established even at a client’s premises.

VAT SETTLEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITHARTICLE 33A
Article 33a provides the possibility of cashless VAT settlement. VAT due on imports of goods is settled directly in the declaration part of a JPK-VAT file. Employing this solution means that there is no need to freeze funds for the purpose of tax obligations.

REGISTERED CONSIGNOR
